Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Schools Programme extends hot streak with 3 successful awards campaigns

It has been an autumn to celebrate for NWCH and ISG as the SEMH Schools programme continues to be celebrated having picked up 3 awards in recent months! These prestigious awards are:

Construction News Awards

Community Engagement Project of the Year – Highly Commended

Education Estates Awards

Inclusive Learning Spaces for All – Winner

Building Awards

Delivering Social Value – Winner

The successful delivery of the new Southern Cross, Castlefield Campus and Camberwell Park schools are the latest programme of schools procured through NWCH by client, Manchester City Council (MCC). The schools cater for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

ISG worked collaboratively with MCC, consultants and trusted supply chain partners to develop detailed design solutions that meet the needs of a modern SEMH school whilst minimising its carbon impacts, supporting MCC’s target of being zero carbon by 2038. The completed schools opened for the start of the 2021 academic year and provide excellent teaching and learning environments.

These are fantastic achievements for NWCH, client, and contractor and truly showcase how successful collaborative working on meaningful projects can deliver social impact.
